Listen to Scriabin's Prelude Op. 11 no. 21 performed by pianist Hari Gusek
Welcome!
We are a group of enthusiasts who, since 2019, have been promoting the art of the famous Russian composer and pianist Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin (Moscow, 6 January 1872—Moscow, 27 April 1915). Scriabin is known for highly lyrical and idiosyncratic tonal language inspired by the music of Frédéric Chopin. His flexible harmonic structures abound in chromatics, marking his compositions with mystical and ecstatic atmospheres. He advocated the thesis of the cathartic power of music and the idea of a pantheistic synthesis of all arts. He can be considered the primary figure of Russian musical symbolism and the forerunner of serialism. In order to popularize and celebrate Scriabin, Scriabinism and Scriabinists, we organize concerts, lectures and other cultural events to which admission is free. Everyone can contribute to the work of the Society—become our active member, or be our audience and enjoy our program!

PORTRAIT OF SCRIABIN
Pianist Sabrina Zelić, a professor at Zagreb Academy of Music, has released a new album featuring 24 Preludes, Op. 11, the Ninth Sonata, Op. 68 No. 9, and Two Poems, Op. 32 by Alexander Scriabin, along with “Hommage S” by Vjekoslav Nježić, inspired by Scriabin’s music. This album not only serves as a portrait of Alexander Scriabin but also encapsulates Sabrina Zelić’s artistic vision, showcasing what she deems most significant in art from her perspective and experience. We congratulate Sabrina on her beautiful contribution to the legacy of composer Alexander Scriabin, in whose name our Society is proudly established. The album is published by Croatia Records.
IN MEMORIAM
It is with great sadness that we announce that Alexander Serafimovich Scriabin, Ph.D., has passed away at the age of 76. He was known as a dedicated researcher and presenter of his famous ancestor’s music legacy. It was on his initiative that our Society was founded, thus, as an Honorary President, he provided us with his permanent support. We say goodbye with immense gratitude. Rest in peace.
PARTNER: SCRIABIN MUSEUM
We thank the Moscow Memorial Museum of A. N. Scriabin for their friendship, support and archival photographs of Scriabin. The following link offers a letter of support which was read during the Founding Assembly of our Society. We are happy for the already established cooperation and we look forward to our future projects!
