Hari Gusek (Zadar, 1952) began studying the piano in his hometown, and he finished high school in Zagreb. He enrolled in the Zagreb Academy of Music in the class of Prof. Darko Lukić, and he graduated in the class of Prof. Ivo Maček, who was also his Mentor during his postgraduate studies. For two years he studied at the prestigious Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow in the class of the famous pianist and pedagogue Rudolf Kehrer. As a soloist, a member of chamber ensembles and a soloist with the orchestra, he has given numerous performances in Croatia and abroad. His prominent concerts were within the cycle Evenings on Grič, Evenings in Donat, Rab Music Evenings, Hvar Summer, Korčula Summer, Brač Music Festival, Orebić Cultural Summer, Ohrid Summer, etc.

He recorded a number of piano works for Croatian Radio and Television, and an LP for the record company Helidon from Slovenia with works by Chopin, Scriabin and Ravel. In 2012, he released a CD with works by Bach, Scarlatti, Schubert, Chopin and Scriabin from concerts in Zagreb (Music Institute, 2002 and 2006). Since 1978 he has been teaching piano at the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb.
